Verification hierarchy

How source quality is graded

Understand the evidence hierarchy used for appliance error codes, model compatibility and troubleshooting procedures.

Level A

Exact model manual

Highest confidence for a model-specific code or procedure.

Level B

Manufacturer code table

First-party support content for a product family or appliance category.

Level C

Manufacturer support root

Useful verification path, but not enough by itself to prove an exact code meaning.

Level D

Secondary reference

Research lead only until verified against a stronger source.

Never promoted to verified status solely because a visitor submitted it.

Publishing rule

Indexable code pages should contain a code-specific first-party source wherever practical. Exact model compatibility requires an exact-model or clearly identified model-family source.
