Error-code reference
Similar symptom, different code: cross-brand comparisons
Use comparisons to recognise fault families—not to import one manufacturer’s repair procedure into another.
| Example category | Brand/code examples in this database | How to interpret |
|---|---|---|
| Water inlet/fill | Samsung washer 4C · LG washer IE · GE dishwasher H2O | All can relate to water entry/fill conditions, but thresholds, components and procedures differ. |
| Drain | Samsung washer 5C · LG washer OE · Whirlpool/Maytag F9E1 | All can point toward drain performance, but do not swap procedures without model confirmation. |
| Door/lock | LG dE · Whirlpool LOC · Samsung dC variants | Door/lid/lock context varies by product family. |
| Unbalance/load | Samsung Ub · LG UE | Both can involve load balance, but control behaviour and model-specific causes differ. |
| Heating/temperature | Bosch dishwasher E09 · Electrolux dryer E64 · Samsung dryer HC | Each relates to a different heating/temperature system and carries different safety implications. |
Why this is useful
If you already understand that “OE” on one washer is a drain-related clue, a comparison can help you recognise that another brand’s code belongs to the same broad system. It cannot establish that the pump, sensor or procedure is the same.
Model first: Use the exact brand, appliance category and model number before following any procedure.
