Model number vs serial number: what is the difference?
Both identifiers matter, but they answer different questions.

- Model and serial number close-up.
- Any product/service code or revision suffix.
- The appliance control panel and displayed code.
Why revisions matter
Two appliances sold under similar marketing names can use different control boards, pumps, sensors, firmware or wiring. A suffix or service code may be the difference between the correct and incorrect part.
Privacy tip: Serial numbers can uniquely identify a specific appliance. Store/share them only where needed for warranty, recall or service purposes.
